Amplifying Action Workshop for community groups: we want you there

This September, the Surrey Climate Commission is bringing together community groups working for nature and the climate for a hands-on workshop designed to help you do even more.

** Save the date: 15 September, 10am-1pm **

Every year, our survey of community groups tells the same story: passion and commitment are there in abundance, but access to funding and the chance to connect meaningfully with others doing similar work remain persistent challenges. This event is our response to that. We want to go deeper than a survey ever can. This will be a working session — a conversation about how the Commission can support your work, and an exploration of practical ways forward. Funding will be firmly on the agenda. With funders increasingly favouring collaborative bids, this event will be a catalyst. We're planning to bring in expertise to offer frank, friendly advice on how to strengthen funding applications. This won't be a passive event. We're looking for groups who are ready to engage, share their experience, and leave with something tangible to act on.

Interested? Places are limited, so please send a short paragraph on why your community group would like to attend and what you're hoping to get from the day. If being more effective, better connected, and better funded matters to your group, hold 15 September, 10am-1pm.
